The prices are very reasonable, and the quantities are also great. Most people come here with their entire families to eat out. The place is also very children friendly.

The first Golden Corral had been opened in Fayetteville, Carolina. It was initially a steakhouse that could handle up to 175 guests at one time. It never looked back and grew from there on to opening a handful more budget steak houses all across small cities from Texas to Virginia. With the large request of its dedicated customers, it opened the Buffet & Grill option, which served both hold and cold items at the same time in hundreds. Later they added a bakery section where one could get rolls, cookies and muffins, pies and pizzas. They named it Brass Bell Bakery. In 2001 they added a new option to the menu where their users can get sirloin steaks cooked at will. Recently in 2017, the restaurant added a Smokehouse menu that includes slow-cooked chicken and meat. The option is available for lunch and dinner. One can also enjoy smoked carved baby back ribs as a regular delicacy.

The restaurant has become famous for providing reasonable budget-friendly food for the entire family. It charges the highest of $14.49 on Friday and Saturday for buffet post 4 P.M., and on Sunday after 11 A.M. on the weekdays, the price drops to $13.49 only. A price per head for an elaborate lunch buffet is anything far from expensive.

A brunch or lunch at the restaurant costs till 4 P.M. only $9.29 from Monday to Saturday. On a Sunday, the breakfast is available at only $9.89 till 11 A.M. These prices are not inclusive of beverages.

Being old is beneficial.

If a senior visits any of the franchises of Golden Corral, they get special benefits as the prices are discounted only for them. The price of $14.49 is available to the seniors even after 4 P.M. on both Friday and Saturday. The price is the same for Sunday at lunch after 11 A.M. on the rest of the days the old can get the food at only $13.49 even after 4 P.M. Anybody is above the age of 60 is considered a senior at Golden Corral.
